Typical symptoms that indicate a bad coil:
- The bike is not starting at all.
- You took out the spark plug and checked for spark (properly grounding it while pulling), and there is no spark.
- You disconnected the kill switch to eliminate the possibility of a jammed kill switch button, and there is still no spark.
